from yesterday's trib and Super Bowl 39:

Eagles tackle Hollis Thomas is no golfer, but this week he did get to play the TPC course in Sawgrass.

"You take away the stick," Thomas said, "and it's just like walking."

Trivia Q.
What was his number when he played for NIU?
99? Or was it 98?
Dyno I'm surprised at you. 78 same as his current # with Eagles.
Doh, my memory fails me. I remember him with a higher number. oh well. Who was 99 or 98 in that era?
Was that Rucker?
Just found HT's college scouting report, as filed by Dan Shonka, the scout that signed HT to the Eagles. It's on his website (http://www.proscoutconfidential.com/index.htm). He says he discovered HT, when he went to scout Leshon Johnson against Iowa in HT's sophomore year. Interesting stuff on the site.
