This is not a rehash of the 15K rule but a somewhat related topic. Kent State was roasted by the New York Times regarding their 2002 football attendance counting. It seems that the MAC would have made a league wide effort to ensure the legitimacy of their attendance counting procedures. Do you know if the MAC ever submitted any written proposal or policy regarding the practice of attendance counts at football games? And if so, what date and where that document might be found online? Thanks.
The author of the Times article was one Jayson Blair.
Except the NYT article you reference was part of the Jason Blair scandal and was proven to be a pile of ******. His quotes were all fabricated and the KSU attendance numbers, not that they were good, were accurate.
Ah yes. The Blair guy. Hmmm. So now I can see that the article was bunk. But do you know if the MAC has any written policy regarding accounting of football attendance?
I don't know that the MAC did but the NCAA will recognize only butts in seats. Except they now don't have an attendance policy. So I don't know what it means.
