The Marshall @ Ohio game will be on ESPNU @ 9pm.
A couple of us from HerdThat.Com will be in attendance at Athens. Looking forward to my first (and possibly last) trip to the Convo! Go Herd!
And the NIU @ Buffalo game at 7pm will also be shown on ESPNU
First trip to the Convo? What's your problem? just kidding. I'm a little worried about the game on Monday, but I think Fears will have a comeback game in front of the home crowd. We're gonna be up for this game. We're not about to not even make it to Cleveland after this great season.

Hope you enjoy your trip to Athens, and enjoy seeing Marshall's final game in the MAC :D
Don't worry, the Herd has nothing to lose in this game. I think it'll be much closer than expected. I've had a good time every trip I've taken to Athens, no doubt this one will be the same. Good luck to the Cats :)

No offense intended to Ohio, but what the hell does ESPNU want with, as far as the seedings go, the worst first-round matchup. If you're going to show two first-round games from our conference, wouldn't you want to show the 8-9 and 7-10 games?

It doesn't really matter, I guess. Two games from the MAC on any ESPN channel are two games from the MAC on any ESPN channel. I just think it's odd they'd choose the 4-13 game.
No offense taken.

It's a travesty that they're not showing the 8-9 game.
Ohio and Marshall are great rivals. The crowd will be big. Marshall travels well to Athens. Marshall has a national name from football. Espn knows that will attract a few viewers. ESPN also checking out Athens for football season. 03-wink
It looks like the UB-NIU game will be a sellout also. Tickets went on sale on Friday and are going fast! I may be biased, but it is really great to see what has happened the past two seasons in Buffalo! I think it can only help the MAC.
I agree that showing games from Buffalo and Athens is good.

Hard to believe but now UB is a marque MAC team with big crowds and a fun team to watch. They show well on TV.

Ohio, when they are winning, ditto.

p.s. The UB arena looks a lot larger than the 6,300 that it holds after remodeling.

Sometimes first round games don't draw well (is it because students need to PAY to get in?) but UB should draw very well.

this helps the student turnout at the UB playoff game:

UB, just like last year, bought 2,500 tickets to hand out free to students. definite sellout monday night. 04-rock
Having students give up beer money is a tough thing to do. $15 bucks buys a case. That will keep some Ohio fans away. Sounds bad but that's the truth. 04-drinky 04-drinky 04-drinky 04-drinky 04-drinky 04-drinky 04-drinky 04-drinky 04-drinky 04-drinky 04-drinky 04-drinky
