Here is the link. Magner did pretty well by the sounds of things. He ran the 40, 4.55, faster than Dante Ridgeway from Ball State. Here is the link to BG and other reviews for players from MAC teams:

He's still pretty light, and that's not really fast enough to be a return man.

I'd love to see Magner make the NFL, but realistically, Canada or Arena ball is more likely.
I have to agree with Dr. Torch. Magner had a good, productive collegiate career and was fun to watch (as long as he wasn't playing against your team). But he does not have a future in the NFL.

NIU's Dan Sheldon ran a 4.43 40 at the Combine.
???? Magner doesn't have an NFL future? He ran the fatest three cone (agility drill ) of any WR tested thus far, including those at the combine. He measured out at a legit 6'-1", 195lbs. Nobody weighing over 190 even broke 7 seconds in the three cone.

- The NFL loves guys who post freakish work out numbers. Magner will get a ton of looks based on these results.

BG's James Hawkins also did well. He measured out at over 6'-1", 220 lbs and ran 4.55 40. He also benched 225 lbs a freaky 23 times. There are linemen that don't throw 225lbs up 23 times. Hawk could get some looks at WR, SS or LB

I hope that Magner does well. Fred Belitnekoff was 6'1, 190, and very crafty.

A little early to make comparisons.
Cole Magner reminds me of a receiver the Browns had in the 80's. He was a clutch, possession guy that Bernie Kosar always threw to when they needed a catch. His name was Brian Brennan. He wasn't the fastest or biggest, but you could always count on him to catch balls thrown to him. Cole Magner is that type of player. Plus he's tough and athletic. Very adaptable. Somebody is going to roll the dice on him and get very lucky.

THAT was his name!

I think you are referring to Eric Metcalf
Eric Metcalf was not who I was refering to. Brian Brennan, #86. Eric Metcalf #21. Brennan, possesion third reciever, behind Webster Slaughter and Reggie Langhorne. Eric Metcalf was a smaller, fast back, who returned kicks very well. I know my Browns!
Astin Martin coulda been the next Eric Metcalf. Heck, he still might be 04-bow

Brian Brennan was awesome. ANYTHING thrown near the guy was caught. Very deceiving....

Magner has a shot to make the NFL...the comparison made by Lakeland Rocket to Fred Belitnekoff was right on.

Magner is a T O U G H kid on the field. Some of his biggest games were vs Purdue and Ohio State. He is the real deal. Someone will take a chance on him.

I believe it. That guy is F A S T! 04-bow
Magner has a real shot. I see one of two things happening - either he goes UDFA, fails to latch on and fades into obscurity or he goes late (6th or 7th round) or UDFA, latches on and last 10 to 12 years.

Brennan's a good parallel. If the Browns had dumped him after a year or so, he probably never would've been heard from again. But the team saw the intangibles and kept him. The recent comparison I'm hearing is Wayne Chrebet. Sounds good!
