I am compiling a listing of the dates of the Spring Football games across the MAC. Here is what I have so far:

Akron - April 16
Ball State - ??
Bowling Green - ??
Buffalo - ??
CMU - April 16
EMU - April 16
Kent St - ??
Miami - April 15
NIU - April 23
Ohio - ??
Toledo - April 16
WMU - April 9

Any help with the missing dates is much appreciated. Thanks.
Bowling Green's spring game will be noon on April 16.
Kent State concluded its spring practices earlier this week. There was no spring game planned. Practices were closed except for a couple to which accredited media were admitted. KSU spring football
Buffalo's is on April 16th i believe. Not sure of the time.
Spring football? Do they play games or keep records? I thought not. We now resume regular programming to hoops, the mat, the diamond, et. al.

We'll give it some attention. Just because your school of choice doesn't play football, doesn't mean you have to try to ruin it for the rest of us.

Kinda like you guys in the Motor City Bowl. I still want the $45 bucks back I wasted on that suck fest.

The 1994 Vegas Bowl was their last -- a game that sticks out in my mind for obvious reasons.

Why is everyone’s spring game so late? It doesn’t have anything to do with the weather, does it?03-razz

"The most visible improvements that have been made in recent years to the athletic facilities are renovations to Waldo Stadium and the building of the Seelye Center.

WMU keeps pumping money into Waldo Stadium for a football team that has done little except pump money out of a university that already has no money to spare.

The Seelye Center has been even worse. Built at a cost of $25 million, no expenses were spared. The layout of the building is phenomenal. However, when WMU spent such an ungodly amount of money to build the Seelye Center, officials somehow forgot to figure out a plan to finance its use after completion. As a result, with the exception of the indoor playing field and a few offices, this magnificent building is locked 365 days a year.

The Seelye Center has sucked a huge amount of money out of WMU's treasury and has cost the university its men's track and field team along with its synchronized skating team.

If anything is learned from WMU's 2004 homecoming, it should be that changes must be made to save WMU's athletic department. Immediate changes must be made with football, which is doing nothing but taking money away from the university.

Meanwhile, the school's other teams, which are still making a great effort to be successful, must be supported. If not, Kathy Beauregard should slash the entire athletic department before it falls into worse decay than the Oracle at Delphi."
Ohio's is April 23
HUSKIEFOOTBALLFAN,

That article is written by a student newspaper writer who has no inside knowledge of where the money came from to build the Seelye Center, and does not even know anything about the use of the building. It is NOT locked 365 days a year like he said. It is used all year long by all the sports teams. I was just in there last Saturday, along with a couple hundred other Bronco fans, to watch a football practice. The student writer is also not aware of the fact that the Hockey Arena was totally renovated with new chair back seating and locker rooms about 4 years ago. I bet you’re glad NIU doesn’t have football facilities like WMU, but your head football coach doesn’t agree with you. When Joe Novak toured the Seelye Center he had a lot to say about the comparison of WMU and NIU facilities.
Bronco67.

I saw the Seelye center and thought it was unbelievable. I found this article, I didn't write it. How did you conclude "I bet you’re glad NIU doesn’t have football facilities like WMU"?

A late spring practice is good IMO. The later the better.

Players can get some rest (much underappreciated in sports) before they start w/ spring workouts.

Coaches get a better assessment of the players they'll have in the fall.

Areas to work on are better identified.

Lessons learned are more likely to be remembered.

Sorry, I took your posting of an article by an uninformed student as a slam against WMU.
