Huh? You don't get to the Final Four by luck, I think Arizona is better than Louisville. AND MY GOD THE ILLINI LOST ONE GAME THIS YEAR! Do you know that they can set the record for modt wins by 1 team in a single season EVER if they win out. You dont have to like the Illini, but you also don't have to be an idiot.

I don't know about that, I thinkk the X-factor in this game is going to be Powell. I think the Illini trio of guards is better than Louisville's but for the most part they will cancel each other out. You are right about Gaarcia's hieght but Williams will probably be on him on Williams will neutralize his height with Williams power. If Powell rebounds well n the offensive glass and is able to step out and hit an occasional three I think the Illini will win, but if he has an off game Louisville could very easily win.

Augustine just better be like the same player he was in the first 2 rounds...he was pathetic against Arizona and luckily for Illinois, Ingram picked up the slack pretty nicely. But the 2 big men will have to stop Louisville's big guys if they want to win...they can't be any worse then they were against Arizona.

I don't think Louisville is a big man oriented team are they? Also I heard something the Augustine did something to his knee in the Arizona game so that might have to do with his numbers. The Illini are definatley going to have to stay out on O'Bannon because ever since the Marquette game earlier this year he as been strokin it. I bet that Head is on Dean because they both have leg injuries also. You figure Auggie and Polacios and DeronBronx Garcia will probably cancel are going to cancel each other out so it might come down to

Powell vs. Myles
If Brown can get up towards that mid teens to 20's range in points than the Illin are really tough to beat because Head will give you about 15-18 a game and Williams will give you good numbers weather it is Points or assists and if the 3 guards get to to the 40-60 point range it usually means the Illini will get up to around 80 points. And the Illini have only given up 70 points 3 or 4 times this year.

So louisville can play too, and they may own U of I. I don't want it to happen, but i have a bad feeling it will. I have U of I vs. UNC in the final game, but U of I has shown to not play well against anyone worth a darn, and that's a fact. The big 10 isn't good this year, it's lucky. MSU has a great coach who can lead a team in the tourney something people discount, but U of I has had a pretty easy road to go down. It's now when the Illini prove if they are great, or if they are the bust everyone seems to think they are. (odds in vegas say UNC, which means the people think UNC)

Illinois has played several good teams this year, and blown them out! Did you seem them destroy Wake Forest? They also beat Cincinnati and Gonzaga handily. Also, they ended Wisconsin's 38 game home winning streak. IL doesn't blow out crappy teams out like UNC blows out crappy teams, only because IL has a tendency to play to the level of their competition? Their motion offense wears teams down by the end of the game, and they always seem to pull away from most teams at the end.
Some may say the AZ game was a fluke that UI came back and won. However, in building the 15 point lead AZ had made like 9 of 10 field goals. They were due to cool down. And they were worn down. AZ got lazy, didn't handle the ball properly, and created 4 turnovers which IL cashed in. And, after a cold spurt, IL got hot and started draining everything.
Louisville is a good team, they are playing well, and will certainly make a game of it. However, I think that as long as Louisville doesn't shoot 60%, by the end of the game, they'll be worn down and the Illini pull away at the end.
People ripped the Big 10 all year, and then the Big 10 sends more teams than any other conference to the Elite Eight (ILL, WI, MSU), and two to the Final Four (IL, MSU). Did you see Wisky play the whole game with NC? Wisky elevated their game to stay with and almost defeat UNC. MSU then knocks off Duke and then Kentucky, two very good teams. Having Tom Izzo is a great plus, but all he can do is put the talent he has together to win games - if there were no talent, they would not have been able to beat Duke and KY. How would an UI / MSU title game be for all the Big 10 doubters?
I did not vote for Michigan State, so that probably means they will win it all. I picked them to lose to ODU, and look what happened?

Illinois played 7 games against teams in the top 25 of the RPI during the season, and won by an average of 14.5 points.
