How can you not get more and more excited about this team with each new position preview that I put out.
Bigger,stronger,quicker,great depth and an incoming freshman class loaded with talent.Can't wait until the season opener!

ALL those things, Boca. One of the knocks against Toledo LBs in the past has been their size. Another is speed. Looks like those two things are covered. This looks like it could develop into the best LB corps Toledo has had...and that's saying a lot.
I haven't been able to say this in quite awhile, but I am excited about our prospects on the defensive side of the ball. We could possibly have some very lopsided wins in our future.

I think expectations for our defense next fall will be much higher. I still want to see our first few games before I make a judgement call. I just don't feel comfortable giving much praise to this defense yet because we still have a lot of question marks that have not been answered.

I am really excited about this defense. Even though we are young, most everyone has at least 1 year of experience. These kids are talented and Rose is putting a jump in their step. Scrimmage #2 of Spring practices is tomorrow afternoon. I look forward to seeing how they are progressing.
Correction - I original said the scrimmage was today, thinking today was Friday. Sorry, the scrimmage is tomorrow afternoon.

Just think of the experience most of these guys have now.Being shelled
at the begining of the season and coming back to win a MAC title. I'm glad to see Relford and Melvin Williams on the team.I think both guys are good athletes and can contribute this season.
