On another thread, some Rocket fans are beginning to talk a bit of smack about Omar Jacobs Some friendly advice here--I wouldn't say ANYTHING about Omar good or bad.
On that fateful day next season when the Rockets visit BG:
1-The Doyt will be packed
2-The game will be on national TV
3-Entry to the MAC Championship game may be on the line
4-NFL scouts will be there a plenty
5-Bowl representatives will be there
6-Vibes will already be pulsing from the North end zone where the new Sebo Student Athlete Center will be under construction
But Omar (and all the Falcons for that matter) will scarcely attend to any of this. His mind will focus like a laser beam on getting rid of a bad memory, a memory implanted from last year's game.
Yes, if I were a Rocket fan I wouldn't mention Omar's name, even under your breath. Believe me, he already has you in his mind. Don't make things worse for yourselves.

As a staunch opponent of smack talk, I'll avoid adding fuel to this one. Suffice to say that we don't have much reason to swagger after one of the ugliest meltdowns I've ever witnessed.
Do I believe BG will Toledo this year? Yes, but I see no reason to engage in a flame war some seven-plus months before the actual game.
I'm with 87 on this one. Yes, I love the rivalry and all that goes with it but we hav TEN games to go before the UT game.
The only team that should be on BG's mind is Wisconsin. That is our first game.
Do I think BG will beat UT at the Doyt? Yes. But there will be plenty of time for that.

Is the Doyt anymore intimidating than NIU for a nationally televised game? Are the Rockets capable of putting 42 points on the scoreboard in a half against the Falcon? Did a young Rocket defense sack Omar 3 times? Did the Falcons not only lose to the Rockets,but were taken apart by NIU.The Falcons did not play Akron or Miami in 2004. BGSU only beat one team with a winning record - Memphis State.No MAC wins against teams with a winning record. I wouldn't look for BG to blowout the Rockets in 2005. It should be a good hard fought game. I do think the Rockets will be a better team than in 2004,mainly because of an improved Rocket defense and a better running game.

It the same reason a win over U.Conn (8-4)would have been important for the Rockets.(Besides it being a bowl game).UT's only OOC win was against Temple.UT could have used a good OOC win to go along with it's wins over NIU,Miami,BGSU.

Gee, thinking about us so much I hope he doesn't mess up in his other games because then BG will have nothing to play for in our game.
If Toledo is 7-0 going into the BG game, we could lose and still win the West and play in the MACC Game so don't be too sure that Toledo will have to win the game to win the West.

No matter where BG finishes we know one thing for sure, every time that they lose Brandon will blame it on Omar making bad decisions.

Thankfully they graduated part of their atrocious d-backs. Whoever is back there can't do as poorly as last season's washout. When the smoke clears, BGSU will be on top by two touchdowns 35-21!
