Doorknob:

I reserve the right to change my prediction up until kick-off of the Michigan game. I also reserve the right to change my prediction during the season so long as I do the same as I did last year and include my original prediction in parenthetical.

That was an actual funny post, Alum. Maybe it was the voice I heard in my head.

Anyway, just for record, I'm the one who predicted a perfect season. Hope springs eternal and I always predict undefeated seasons for my favorite teams...even the Bears the last 5 years :(

Thr probabilities lie somewhere around 8-3 or 9-2, but it's much more fun to step out on that limb. Maybe this is why I get so worked up over a loss.
For my bestest pal Alum:

9-2 FOR ME. losses to Mich and either Miami or Toledo.

That's the most moronical (new word) thing I have ever heard. Who cares if you put your prior prediction pathetically (that should have been the word you used) next to your original prediction? What does it prove when you "revise" your original prediction based on known results? How wrong you were with the original one? Like last year, 10 games into the season.

Alum: "I am revising my original prediction to 8-3 (6-5)."

For the final time, a 7-4 record in 2005.

Intepretation of these poll results would suggest that precisely TWO of us think the Huskies are going to win the MAC and go to a bowl game (the chaps who voted 11-0 and 10-1). Interesting. I get lambasted for my frank assessments and more negative views, yet when it comes to prediction making only two of you feel that strongly about our chances in 2005? HYPOCRISY is in our midsts!

Mr 85DropOut,

Please show us where anyone is being hypocritical. Last year you incorrectly predicted it would be a rebulding year for NIU and we would go 6-5. While astute fans thought that this coming season, breaking in a new QB, would be cause for concern, and thus the reservations about predicting a lofty record.

I'm resigning myself to the fact that I am dealing with a moron in your case. Look, I'm sorry that HuskieMobileMan bought the little yellow school bus that used to take you to your "special" classes. Now you've got lots of time on your hands. Tell ya what, go back down to your room in the basement and watch Leave it to Beaver reruns until Mommy gets home from work. I hear shes going to make you Macaroni and Cheese and then plans to pull out photo album so you and her can look at your baby pictures from 1968.

03-lol Wow Alum...that was pretty funny. Still mean-spirited, but funny.

I go with 8-3 for the regular season. Losses to Mich, NW & Miami. We beat UT (finally) and advance to the MACC and win. Victory @ MCB for a final record of 10-3.

They are undefeated in 2005 so far.
