Ball State completed its sweep of the state's other major baseball programs when it humiliated the Indiana Hoosiers this afternoon, 17-4, at Ball Diamond in Muncie. The Cards pounded out 21 hits, including 6 home runs, while holding the Hoosiers to only 6 hits. Ball State scored in every inning but the 8th. The Cards earlier this season defeated Purdue 9-8 and blasted Notre Dame 14-5.
Evansville might argue.

Play them?
We don't play Evansville this year. The Aces are usually one of the better baseball teams in Indiana, but if you lived in Indiana you would know that the only thing most people here care about is how you fared against Indiana, Purdue, and Notre Dame. We could beat Evansville 10 times in a row, but to most of the state's citizenry, it wouldn't be comparable to beating IU, Purdue, and Notre Dame. Incidentally, I just checked the record and Evansville is 28-11 this season. They were swept in a 3-game series with Illinois State this past weekend. Ball State is 24-11.
