Granted, it's a classical music station, but all day different reports have been surfacing there. And the 5 pm report said that we're in for all sports in '07 (according to AP).

Go Owls!

Given the conflicting reports, I'm guessing there is definitely some confusion between the terms full member of the MAC and all sports.

Full member may just mean football-only, but playing a full conference slate of games and eligible for the MACC.

It will be interesting to see which definition is actually included in the deal.

lol.... Of course if it's Owl football, it'd be flaccid member.

I'm on the East Coast today on a business trip, and while driving from Saddlebrook, NJ to Reading, PA I heard the local news on the radio........one of the lead sports stories read was Temple to the MAC in football in 2006, but the report said nothing of all sports MAC affiliation except to note that their other sports would remain in the A-10. So, the stories keep conflicting.
Doing some email here in my hotel room....lead story on the local sports news on TV was Temple to the MAC and Temple signing a 3 year agreement to play Penn State. I'm not saying that Temple gets great media coverage on the East Coast (since I live in Chicago and have no way of knowing), but I've heard about Temple to the MAC multiple times on the radio today and it gets prominent mention on the tube as well.......
uh, nevermind.

Boy, sounds like they get better media coverage than we all thought. They already get better coverage in the Toledo Blade than the Toledo Rockets do. 03-banghead
....not sure what you were going to post, MS, but don't worry, I'm still dead set against the MAC allowing Temple in as a football only member. At the same time, I'm trying to be optimistic that there's "more than meets the eye" about all this.....
I posted a link that was already posted elsewhere.

That's what I get for not lookin' around.
