Well nobody seems to know so how about a poll.
If Western Kentucky is added, might as well go ahead and invite Eastern Kentucky as well and have both the directional Kentucky's

:snore:
that combo would probably be better than UCF and Marshall.

I agree. Bring in WKU and EKU..........and to keep us at 14 football teams with Temple coming in, give BGSUcks a notice that they are being kicked out in 2007. Reason? Pink railings. 03-wink
EKU?

Are you guy's serious? Do your homework before even thinking such a thing!

EKU-- Unbelieveable.
I think you missed the point

for most mac fans wku's rep is not much different the eku's

just another directional regional state university that does not play 1-A football
But still not a very "relevant" point IMHO....WKU has a fine hoops tradition and reputation, whereas EKU does not. EKU does have its share of great success at a IAA football program, though, but neither program would enhance the MAC's image in football.

To me the MTSU and WKU combo made the most sense if we were to expand, and again, that need is questionable. I like the WKU move if Temple brings in hoops eventually, though, as that solidifies nicely us in hoops....doesn't do squat for us in football, though.

This just in.... Roy Kidd retired. EKU football sucks now.

I was just joking, and would assume the other poster doesn't know about WKU's basketball program. I am all for WKU, but don't want to see a school like EKU come in. Besides, with Temple now in we only need 1 school to even the divisions out in football. Other sports can go with uneven divisions like we have since 1999.

You need new material.

Southern Illinois & Youngstown State would be better.
I think we need to have a MAC lottery Draft. The four winningest programs in MAC history, minimum of 200 games played get to pick the remainder of the 8 other schools to form a 12 team league.
What does the MAC do with Temple if they decide to bring basketball. We may need to use the 14th football spot as a carrot to convince Temple that we are better in hoops than A-10. I would say UMASS might be enough. We could then add Wky and Southern Illinois.

east:
UMass
Temple
Buffalo
Ohio
Miami
Akron
Kent State
BGSU

west:
Toledo
WMU
EMU
CMU
Ball State
Southern Illinois
WKY
Northern Illinois
16-team conference is a disaster waiting to happen. As much as I want WKU in the MAC, I think 14 teams is too many.

12 is the number.
