I say to you today, my Herd Bretheren, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow in CUSA, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the Marshall dream.

I have a dream that one day this school will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We play for Championships, in all sports not just football."

I have a dream that one day on the hills of West Virginia the sons of former Marshall Fans and the sons of other CUSA schools will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even at Southern Mississippi, a school sweltering with the heat of a new rivalry, sweltering with the heat of wanting a new Bret Favre Era, that a new rivalry will be transformed into an ESPN annual game, I have a Dream .

I have a dream that all our athletic teams will one day play in a conference where they will not be judged by the color of their uniform and size of their national TV appeal but by the content of their accomplishments on the field and not by some loud mouth BCS mouthpieces wanting to keep the Herd out of a good bowl.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day down in Alabama, with its Blazers hoping for an upset they will never get, with its Mobile Bowl Bid on the line, that one day right down in Alabama , HERD Fans will be able to join hands with UAB Fans as sisters and brothers.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every valley in West Virginia shall be exhalted, every hill and mountain shall be majestic and grand with their summits bathed in Glory like a Prince Emanuels Land, I have a Dream Today.

This is our hope. This is the faith that we will go to the CUSA with. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the former Championships of our Herd into a beautiful string of CUSA Championships, I have a Dream Today.

With this faith we will be able to work together, to put fans in "The Joan" together, to cheer together, to go to tailgates together, to stand up for Thunderclaps together, knowing that we will be champions one day.

This will be the day when all of the Herd's children will be able to sing with new meaning, " We are the Sons of John Marshall, Sons of the GREAT John Marshall" . I have a Dream Today

And if Marshall is to be a great university, this must become true. So let cries of WE ARE MARSHALL ring from the prodigious hilltops of Southern West Virginia. Let WE ARE MARSHALL ring from the mighty mountains of Central West Virginia. Let WE ARE MARSHALL ring from the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia.

Let WE ARE Marshall ring from the snow-capped peaks of Snowshoe . Let WE ARE MARSHALL ring from the curvaceous cheerleaders of MU. But not only that; let WE ARE MARSHALL ring from Greenville, North Carolina. Let WE ARE MARSHALL ring from several stadiums in Texas.

Let WE ARE MARSHALL ring from every tailgate of Mississippi and from every CUSA site.

And when this happens, and when cry " WE ARE MARSHALL, when we let it be HERD from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of the HERDS children, football, basketball, tennis, baseball, softball and more, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the the cheer we have all been waiting for, "Free of the MAC!!!!!!!!!!! Free of the MAC!!!!!!!!!! Thank God Almighty, we are FREE OF THE MAC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
There is nothing for MAC fans to talk about until September. So why don’t we all agree to just shut the fv<k up until September.

And as far as Terd fan go, why don’t you just post your corny BS on the C-DOA forum because we just don't give a sh!t about Huntington Junior College?

And what would you talk about in September?? How much money is lost on Saturdays while watching tOSU or Michigan?? There sure isn't anything else to talk about in September that you couldn't talk about now.

So, what is there to talk about in September for MACsters??

And that's AFTER Marshall 77 re-decorated.
Until he got to the last line or so, I actually thought the whole thing was ok...almost clever. But then he had to HERDize it and ruin it for everyone 05-nono

Good job I wil give credit to my MAC friends that at least hate me in a respectable manner.

You my cheese dick friend are not worth the trouble.

It was a joke o get over it wuss.

And just how many HERD fans will take the extra days off and can afford to attend road games at SMU, Rice, Houston, UTEP, or even Tulsa? I'll wager so few the chant will either ring hollow or will be so faint it will sound like "We are Mars Hill".
I am sure MLK would be proud

go away. or at least be funny
