How would i go about getting recordings (dvd or vcr) of past NIU games such as 2002 NIU vs. Bowling Gr, 2003 NIU vs. Maryland or Iowa State, 2004 NIU vs. Bowling Green, or even 2003 NIU vs. Bama?
How about NIU vs. Toledo, 2004. It was a great game!!!!! Or for that matter the last 11 NIU vs. Toledo games, they were all great games!!!!!!

Nah. Far more entertaining would be recordings of Toledo's last two bowl appearances. :D

Toledo's games against Minnesota and Kansas are both archived on the Toledo University website.

Games that I have on VCR:
2002 Wake Forest @ NIU (poor-average quality)
2002 Bowling Green @ NIU (poor quality)
2003 Maryland @ NIU (OK quality)
2003 NIU @ Toledo (poor-average quality)
2004 Bowling Green @ NIU (OK quality)
2004 NIU vs Troy (poor quality)

I wish I had the Bama game, I missed the boat and forgot to tape that one. The Iowa State game from 2003 I think you will be hard pressed to find, I dont think there was any TV for that game, just coaches camera type footage. I could get copies made somewhere if needed, but these are not great quality tapes, so you may want to use me as a last resort.
I also have most of those games recorded on VHS. The Maryland game isn't the best but the others are pretty good.
I have the bama game on dvd...kinda poor quality..but I could prolly burn a copy for anyone who wants one...

You laugh about that, but in reality we signed the #50 running back in the nation and he cited that one of the reasons is because Toledo plays on national TV a lot and usually plays in a bowl game. He really didn't care what the outcomes of those games were, probably because he feels he can help make a difference. Of course is best friend, who is a safety, signed with Toledo to because he decided to sign with Toledo.

So laugh all you want about the losses, but the recruits don't care about what past players did on the field........they only care about getting on TV, defending the MAC Championship, and contributing to the team to win those bowl games in the future.

Also, I went to the 2002 MCB game against BC and even though we got blown out I am sure I had a lot more fun at our bowl game than NIU fans had at their bowl game......oh wait, they didn't go to a bowl game did they? :D

Don't give me this TV crap, RF! Our esteemed basketball team was rarely on TV, and yet we managed to land the 73rd best BB player in the state of Texas! So...there goes your TV theory! :D 03-wink
