Remember when we were all wondering what happend to the QB when he was wandering the streets and acting strange a little while back? Here is the reason. I had no idea that lyme disease could do that.

03-lol I didn't notice that.
Quote:"Wyatt has active Lyme Disease that has resulted in neuropsychiatric and cardiovascular deficits," Dr. Swami said.

The disease is curable, but the estimated recovery time for his advanced stage of infection is several months. If untreated, the disease can cause joint swelling and brain inflammation.

"We expect him to fully recover," Sexton's parents, Billy and Joy, said in a statement in the school's release. Billy Sexton is the running backs coach for the Seminoles.

His speedy recovery will be in my prayers tonight.
LYME DISEASE DOES NOT CAUSE YOU TO WONDER THE STREETS.

What are the symptoms?

Early symptoms can include an expanding circular rash7 called erythema migrans, and flulike symptoms, such as body aches, fatigue, and mild fever. In the United States, about 80% of people with Lyme disease develop a circular rash at the site of the tick bite.3 However, some people don't have any symptoms in the early stages of Lyme disease.

The incubation period—the time from when you are first infected until you develop symptoms—is usually around 7 to 14 days, but symptoms can develop anywhere from 3 to 31 days after you are bitten.4

If the early stage of Lyme disease goes unnoticed, later symptoms can include swelling and pain in joints (similar to arthritis); numbness and tingling in the hands, feet, or back; persistent fatigue; poor memory and reduced ability to concentrate; and weakness or paralysis in the muscles of the face.

FURTHER

# Late nervous system problems, such as pain, weakness, or numbness in the arms or legs that can occur when the bacterial infection has spread to the nerves or spinal cord. Severe headaches, fatigue, or problems with vision, hearing, memory, concentration, and thinking can also develop. Serious nervous system problems can cause severe headache and stiff neck due to inflammation of the tissues surrounding the brain and spinal cord (meningitis); paralysis of the nerves that control the muscles in the face (Bell's palsy); and inflammation of the brain (encephalitis). However, these problems sometimes go away on their own; if not, they usually improve after antibiotic treatment.
# Heart problems, which are rare, but can occur months to even years after initially being bitten by an infected tick. The most serious heart problems—such as inflammation of the structures surrounding the heart (pericarditis)—usually resolve without any permanent damage. Unfortunately, heart problems can be the first sign of Lyme disease in a small number of people who did not have early symptoms.

I FIND IT VERY HARD TO BELIEVE
Actually Swami is a hired doctor who testifies in alot of Workers Compensation cases related to benefits for employees. Is a hired gun. She never saw Sexton and is reporting from documents not an actual physical visit. She is highly questionable as to her analysis here, as in many other cases. She gets paid to justify one position in the legal field. This is just a P.R. move by FSU, where Sextons father is a coach.

Swami is known in the Plaintiffs community as never fear Swami is here. She will say whatever is needed to comform w/the legal standards as defined with medical standards to keep you out of a summary judgment. Especially as to workers compensation lyme disease.
My next door neighbor was at Bonaroo in TN and saw Wyatt Sexton there and said he was definitely NOT drunk. In fact, my neighbor had watched him for a few hours and said every time he tried to drink a beer he overthrew his mouth.

This Lyme Disease thing stinks to HIGH heaven.
I think Brad Pitt might have Lyme Disease

Yea, he's got it!
Wasn't he suspended for skipping a drug test prior to his "freak out?"
He may have Lyme disease..but there is definately something else going on there.

If coaching for BG wasn't enough reason to dislike him, he's also guilty of aiding and abetting a Fla. team? Isn't giving aid and comfort to the enemy considered treason? 03-razz
