UB hires Ward Manuel, a former defensive tackle at Michigan. Manuel was Michigan's associate athletic director and managed the football and basketball programs. He was also the lead manager for fundraising. Sounds like it is a good hire, but dang, what took so long?

They were waiting for the new President to settle in and he then hired a consultant to take a close look at the program. They then set out on a national search for a permanent AD and I think they made a great hire.
