Very impressive schedule for the Redhawks. No easy ones here. RPI will be very strong. Miami has both Dayton and Xavier at home. Rehawks just one of four MAC schools ever invited to the preseason NIT. Redhawks open @Alabama. The game @Michigan is my upset pick. Not really an upset, but a win in Ann Arbor is always sweet for all Ohio schools.
We hear that a neutral site game against Bob Huggins's Home for Wayward Boys will be added to this schedule once the final details are ironed out. Last year, that game was played the week between Christmas and New Year's Day.

Unfortunately, both the Alabama game and the Dayton games fall on the same nights as football games. Alabama is probably an unavoidable conflict in order to gain access to the P-NIT. The Dayton snafu is more troubling and, I hear, attributable to inflexibility on the part of the Flyers. (They dropped Miami last year, claiming that they wanted to schedule a better RPI, but essentially replaced the RedHawks with Cornell.)
Dayton was chicken. They knew that with Mason and Horace the Redhawks were gonna be tough. Any MAC would have given the better rpi than Cornell. Adding UC to the above schedule really makes that schedule among the toughest in the country OOC.
Well, that's the way Charlie seems to like it, and I admire him for that. I sometimes think he'd get an easier go of it from our fans if he tried to schedule for twenty wins, but that's not the way he plays.
