I think the coaching staff was more overrated than the team itself. I think we had the talent, especially on the offensive side. Omar did miss almost 3 full games, yet managed to throw 26 TDs and only 7 Ints. This would be a great season for any other QB, but with the season he had last year it is sub par. Nonetheless, I don't think we would be talking about this thread if Omar was able to play against Akron, which I think we would've won. We'd be in the MACC right now against NIU, but woulda, shoulda, coulda.... but yes we were definitely overhyped.

True, but you had Omar for Toledo, you had Toledo in your house, you had the MAC East title sitting there for the taking, and you still lost.

BG is not a bad team at all, but they still were overrated.
Yes, that is true we blew the East at home, inexcusable in my opinion. I'll give Omar and the team credit for winning a big road game down at Miami the week before, but just as quickly take it away for losing to UT at home. We blew it, period. Although Omar should have led the team to victory over UT, I think some of the coaching calls by Brandon blew the game for us. But UT got it done and we were outcoached in the end once again by Amstutz. A recurring theme in the Brandon vs Amstutz rivalry....
The only overrated team in the MAC is NIU. 04-rock

I'm kidding fellas. You kicked our a$$ on our home field and I have grown to accept that.
"Senator, I do not recall the post"

You do not recall the post you said BGSU was under rated back in August 2005.

"Senator, The intel we got was from France, Isreal and the Italian Intelligence agencies. They had reports that BGSU was top 25."

You rushed your post without checking BGSU's suspected ties to poor defense, special teams and bad coaching.

"Yes, Senator upon review we rushed to judgement, but we must stay the course and pick BGSU next year top 25 again since Omar bin Jacobs is coming back and is still poses a threat to MAC defenses"
where's the dead horse? :chair: :chair: :chair:

Save Gregggggggg COOPER's job!!! :D
