It has been mentioned that Josh Allen might be a starter this year at linebacker. What about the other recruits, in particular Zach Larsen and Phil Brown. I thought that they were more highly regarded that Josh. Although, I know Josh was also a standout on the BBall court. Will either of those two see any time this year?
There was a stud QB, Andre Brown. What happened to him? Also our stud OT, Seren Woodfork-Bey???
I think Brown was aflicted by the freshman 15 and Bey was arrested in the tire slashing incident.

I think brown is at one of the state 1-AA schools.

Phil Brown and Josh Allen will each play early and often, barring injury.
it will be interesting to read the 2 deeps when the media notes for the Michigan game are released next week. I'm interested in how the DL falls into place. Also what true Freshman may play and who will be redshirted.

Does anyone knwo where pruitt is playing on the field? From reading your guys pratice reports sounds like he is playing very well too. I hope at Safety! Just for depth purposes really.

And what are the odds we redshirt some of the freshman LBs and save them for next season? I'm ok with a rotation of LBs that are:

Allen
Griffin
Hutton
McLerean
Blalark
McCarthy

Thats a solid 5 without having to waste a players RS. What do you guys think?
lol and by 5 i mean 6 03-wink

Pruitt and Rice are apparently looking promising at CB. Not sure about this year, but I'd be surprised if they don't see time. Rice apparently does have a wrist injury, but he's been practicing. No jobs are safe back there save Ray Smith.

At LB, Griffen, Hutton, Blalark, Allen, Brown, McCarthy and McLaren are all running in a group. I was told that Allen and Brown will play - they're good enough, and we have needs (we no longer have returning all-MACsters like Duffy, Williams, Atkinson and Lee).

I've heard very good things about Phil Brown.

Thats good to hear about pruitt, rice and the young LBs. This group should produce a few all mac players! 04-rock

Pruitt has to be our tallest CB. He may come in handy when our short guys can't match up against a few giants out there.
