I just completed the newest addition to <a href='http://www.vandelaysports.com' target='_blank'>VanDelaySports.com</a>. Former MAC players in the NFL. Check out the site and let me know if all of my info (CBS Sportsline helped...) is accurate.
Looks good. Except the listing for Central Michigan players in the NFL says "Central Michigan Eagles".
I know the NCAA is on our case to change our name, but we're not the Eagles.
Now, if it had said Central Michigan Hurons, it would have been closer... but still no cigar. :wave:
Sorry about that! With all of the NCAA issues with Indian names I thought maybe I should stay safe with a name like Eagles...

Are you going to add Temple or just add them when they are "officially" playing in the conference?

Assante Samuel, UCF, with Pats. I believe he played a MAC season. Or does the asterisk note mean you will only list guys with 2 years or less of experience?
Well I threw it all together last night and didn't think back to how long UCF was in the MAC. My thought was that I did not want Culpepper listed no matter how good that would look for us since UCF was not in the MAC when he played there.
If Samuel or anyone else did play in the MAC and I missed them I'll be glad to list them on the site.
BTW - I will be adding the same kind of list for MAC players in the NBA as well later this year. Only thing I ask of you all is try to help me remember any FORMER NFL or NBA players from MAC schools as well (ex. Ron Harper, Dave Jameson, etc.).
Here's a suggestion for dealing with Marshall, UCF, and Temple.
Simply list all of the players and place *s for those who didn't play at any time when their school was in the MAC.

I changed the page up a bit to reflect ALL of the current NFL players for each school and then listed the years that each school was a member of the conference in regards to Marshall, UCF and Temple. That way I don't have to track each individual player from those schools and updates will be much easier.

Maybe the best way to deal with the Owls is to add a green box with the heading
Future MAC Team (2007) inside. Then list
Temple below the box, almost as if they are in their own division. It would also clear up confusion among visitors to the website who mistakenly think the Owls are already "in" the MAC this year.

Finally! I have been looking for a site similar to this! That was very well done.
If anyone has a list of former NFL players (retired) that played for MAC schools I'd love to add info like that. Media Guides would be best as one NIU fan and a Marshall fan have been kind enough to send me there media guides.
