Temple is playing Wisconsin this Sat. We are 34 point underdogs. I watched the entire Falcon-Wisconsin game last Sat and thought you guys should have, and would have won that game if you had a little more depth, and stuck to what was working. What was working was the 12-15+ yard pass.

Omar Jacobs was eating up the Wisconsin secondary, and when the offense got away from this bread and butter they stalled. I have suggested over on Owlscoop.com (The Temple Sports home page), that we should also pass, pass, and pass some more on Wisconsin.

The Badger's secondary looked very, very, very weak. We have a senior QB, Mike McGann, who is a good passer, (drop back), and we also have a good corps of receivers who can get separation and catch the ball. I know we will score points, the only question is can we score enough points.

As the Falcon faithful witnessed, Wisconsin's ground game is like the Nazi Blitzkreig. Those immense linemen are the Tiger Tanks of the football turf. Plus the Badgers must have 8 or 10 huge lineman that they rotated in.

Bowling Green fans your opinions are solicited!!! Floors open, let me know what you think. GO Owls!!!
I recall reading a Temple-ASU preview that said the Owls defense tends to play run first. Well, that will obviously serve you well against the Badgers. Our defense failed to shed blocks and tackled atrociously. Avoid that and cause some turnovers!

Our spread is engineered to create a lot of mismatches, which is what leads to so many passing yards. I'm not sure Temple's new offense is geared for that type of strategy.

Best of luck!
I'm guessing you are referring to the third quarter, where Omar launched a few deep passes.

I don't think Bowling Green can be accused of getting out of its offensive game plan. I'm guessing he threw deep because he had a good matchup. It may be that the 10-15 yard passes weren't there. Also, the quarter included two sacks.

These were the third quarter drives:

B 1-10 B20 BOWLING GREEN drive start at 11:49 (3rd).
B 1-10 B20 Lane, B.J. rush for 4 yards to the BGSU24 (Hayden, Nick).

B 3-6 B24 Jacobs, Omar pass incomplete to Sharon, Charles (Bell, Brett).
B 4-6 B24 Fry, Nate rush for 16 yards to the BGSU40, 1ST DOWN BGSU,

In fact, the issue wasn't the offense at all. The issue was our absolute inability to tackle one Brian Calhoun.

Anyway, I'll say a little prayer for Temple tonight.
Simple game plan....You MUST find a way to stop, or at least slow down, that Wisky ground attack. They just keep comin' at ya. Stocco did a fine job throwing the ball but he only attempted 10 passes all day.

If you have a good passing game, you could have a good deal of success against the Badger D. They are talented but still young.

Better eat your Wheaties tomorrow morning!
