I liked it so much, I watched the replay last night. 03-lol 03-lol 03-lol
Several times in the last minutes of the game I actually caught myself rooting for MUg (caught myself and contained my enthusiasm). But that last play was really the stupidest call I've EVER seen.
By all accounts, the right play was called on the sideline, but the QB got confused. That may be worse. Perhaps the most inept running of an an end of game scenario you will see and it has to fall on the coach to have the team better prepared than that for a siutation that is not uncommon at the end of a game or half. Unbelievable.

Nothing worse than the coach blaming the QB. Believe what you want.
:withstupid: For your info all players have come out and said wrong play was called in huddle. Yes it was a mistake and Skinner should have called timeout if there was confusion but he has no experience and blew the call. Snyder has come out and said if he had to do over he would have never run another play and kicked then. Oh well mistakes are made but by nobody in the almighty MAC. Congrats to Ohio on the great win against Pitt that was great.

I did appreciate Pruitt's comments about the MAC on ESPN. The interviewer gushed about Marshall going from D-II to C-USA and Pruitt said that there were some pretty good teams in the MAC.
The bottom line is that it's always easy to second guess what happened. Marshall throws and gets an INT, whereas Miami has time to throw into the endzone with 19 seconds left against CMU but plays it "safe" and has the FG blocked to lose anyway.

Thanks for recognizing the MAC's superiority. :D
Both coach and QB should have known to not even think about putting that ball in the air.

Even if it was called, unless the guy is quarantine, DONT throw the ball...........run to the middle of the field and dive.

Everyone is to blame. There's no way collegitate colleges and players should be dumb enough to pull a play like that with the game sitting right in front of them.
Not since that Baylor coach tried to run up the score on UNLV from the one with a few seconds to go only to see his player fumble and the ball get returned 99 yards for the score...not since then has such an infamous play been called. The Baylor coach never recovered from that.

You beat me to it! As bad as that play was by Marshall, it pales in comparison to the Baylor fiasco. And if I remember correctly, the Bears were trying to end a long losing streak.
