Of course, with the competition each team has played, this is like comparing apples to oranges, but it's interesting anyway.
No surprise with this stat .
NIU has gone from among the fewest turnovewrs per game last year to among the worst this season. While the opposition has a hand in forcing such miserable numbers, it's NIU fault earning the dubious stat in the entire list of otherwise meaningless numbers head to head with TTU.
Our defensive numbers are horrid. 34 @ Mich and 38 @ NU. Bad.

Worse than 73-7, 49-0, or 58-20?

Hey!! We're not THAT bad! It was only 33 @ Michigan! Freakin' pessimist!!
:(

I think the turnover trend continues to reverse itself starting this weekend. If my memory serves me correctly, we didn't turn it over 1 time in the 2nd half at NU.
Net punting 11 yards. Hopefully, we will see improvement. The scariest thing is that NIU is only 20th in the nation with 475 yards in offense. What does this say about D1 defenses. Football games are becoming track meets.

It may say even more about the offenses. How many of the 19 ahead of us run the spread?
VOTE NOW! BAN THE SPREAD!!!!

Not THAT spread offense! I do NOT consider that spread offensive!
P.S. However, if we did ban the spread, she would have nothing to cover herself with, would she? :saber: :saber: :saber: :saber: :saber:

Sure, and I'm Tom Cruise!
As my wife always says to me, "Show me more, honey!"

Stop jumping on the couch and leave Brooke Shields alone.
Just one more. I'm getting too old to keep it up all day.
Getting back to the game, NIU's defense finds them selves in a no win situation. Even if they can shut down TTU's high-powered Div 1-AA offense, it's only a Div 1AA offense.
They will have to wait for the MAC games to prove themselves, if they can. I look for the D to come out all fired up tomorrow. They need this game. Hopefully the O will not be too cocky.
Please continue posting pictures of Tara Reid.

OK, one more.
Then you're on your own.
