After playing a respectable game against Mich and essentially tying NU, the glass was looking half empty. After kicking TT's ****** the glass now looks half full. I'm still not sure what to expect from this year's team in MAC play, however, I am beginning to feel better about our chances.

Regardless of how this year pans out, I am becoming increasingly optimistic about our 2006 season, the year we turn the college football world upside-down, the year we beat tOSU, and the year we play in our first BCS Bowl.

I couldnt agree more, I think once the young guys settle in this year, NIU will really pull things together defensively much like Toledo did in 2004 with their youth defensively. Speaking of Toledo, when my eyes scanned your topic here, I thought it was in reference to the Glass Bowl being half full. I was really proud of the attendance today, especially when you compare it to the other MAC numbers for the first few weeks.
My glass was half full after the Michigan game. Despite the fumbles, which I still believe will not be a persistant problem, I came out of that game feeling pretty good about our team. After NU, I still felt great about our offense, but the sting of the loss was frustrating. Therefore, the glass remained the same.
Speaking of Half Full vs. Half empty - What did you guys think of the SIU vs W Mich game? My feeling is - as much as I admire SIU, I'm glad Western Mich got the W. No good can come out of a MAC team losing to a IAA school...no matter how good the IAA school is.
I cant believe people turned the glass half empty after losing two games to two good teams. 03-banghead
