Who is the "Utah" of this year? Toledo, New Mexico, and UTEP are the final hopes for the Non-BCS to crash the party.

GO ROCKETS!!!
They are probably the only three to not play a BCS team in OOC this year too. :)

UT plays Fresno State next week (the Toledo of the West Coast) so we'll see how long this undefeated thing lasts.

*fingers crossed*
I think UTEP plays New Mexico soon. So it will be down to 2 - tops.

New Mexico has a victory over Missouri AT Missouri. I think their opening cramp against UNLV was a fluke. This is a solid football team.
ATTACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like Louisville is the best hope. (Yes, they are in the Big East but all of their starters were recruited to play in CUSA; hence they will be our "poster child")

Toledo: Must get by Fresno State. If they succeed, would sweeping the MAC be convincing enough to the pollsters?

New Mexico/UTEP. Loser out.

UTEP/New Mexico. Winner will have a very difficult time going undefeated in their respective league. If either team can pull it off, the Utah precedent will help in gaining pollster votes.
No non-bcs school is going to a BCS bowl this year. Toledo could go undefeated, but it won't be enough to get into a BCS bowl. I don't see UTEP or New Mexico going undefeated, hence losing their chances.
I dont think there is a Utah this year... I think they will all lose 1 game.. I also think Toledo and Utep have better chance than Nm of making it.
If Toledo goes undefeated, wins the MAC title, they still probably won't get a top ten ranking.

I hope I am wrong.
Anyone else notice the disappearance of the "Mid Major Six-Pack" from ESPN.com? With no "mid-majors" in the top 25, it's gonna be even tougher to get noticed.

the difference between Utah last year & Toledo this year is that I believe Utah beat up on a BCS team or 2. Toledo's OOC schedule isn't nearly as strong as Utah's last year.
....Unfortunately NONE OF THEM!!!
they just dont have the OOC schedule to warrant a top 10 ranking. Utah didnt really that great of OOC schedule either ,but they whipped everybody good. They had Texas a&m, Arizona, and North Carolina.
...as mentioned above ,two of the teams are going to self eliminate one of the teams, and toledo will get all they can handle from a mad Bulldog team in Fresno.
... our best defensive player will be up and running again by then. It's going to be a good game. If your offensive line is as big and physical as Oregons then we may be in trouble, from what I've seen they are not. You have a great QB, havent heard how good your run defense is . That is a major weapon I hope you guys have coming in.
...those making the trip be careful and safe, and enjoy the best mexican and chinese food anywhere!!.....not to mention the babes!
Cant wait to see you Tuesday, bring your A game because its espn baby!! 04-rock

I sure hope Fresno has improved since I was there ... the city, I mean, not the school or the team.
