I was thinking about why there is such arguments on these message boards last night and came up with a simple answer: It's fun!
In the past I have posted numerous threads that were about positive or non-argumentative things and got 0-3 responses. I have noticed when others posts are the the same.
People love to debate issues. Although I disagree with a ton of people on the board I have a great time with it. As does 90% of everyone else.
For those who hate the combat on some of these threads I have some advice - any thread that you see with over 5 posts or is listed as a hot topic STAY AWAY - people are smashing each other!

I like to argue as much as the next guy, and will do so. And doing so doesn't mean that I don't let people have their opinions - it's an argument.
But keep it in bounds and there will be no edits, deletes or locks. Them's just the rules.

Yeah it really bugs me when people (NIUGUY) post like they are my mom or something!
Not everyone is going to agree on everything, this is a fan board where people post what they agree or don't agree with. We aren't all on the same page and that is a good thing, or this message board would not have nearly as many hits.
Example:
Thread: Horvath is great
First post: Horvath is great
Rest of the posts: Yes i agree!
How dumb is that? What would the point of the message board be if we just supported and agreed on everything. That wouldn't make us fans, that would make us blind supporters.

I started the post. I was being sarcastic. It was started after Horvath thru 4 TD's against a D1AA opponent. Not that I think Phil is a bad QB but it was to get the discussion going.
I still feel that Phil is adequate but Britt's athleticism makes him a potential superstar.
Haldi, Finlen, and eventually Horvath will be looked at as good QBs. In the short time I have seen Davis, he will be a star. Let the star start to shine now.
