Of the recruits that are being recruited and offered by, has anyone seen them play and what are your thoughts.
DT Kris Cooke is one in particular. He is 6'1" and 300lbs. This is the type of DT we need.
Not on NIU's list, but I saw RB Alan Smith at Nequa last week and he was good. He had speed, power and finesse. I have no idea if he's college RB material, but he seemed to have the athleticism and toughness to play somewhere on the next level.
Recruit the kid on my son's team. Sophmore starting on varsity. 6'2" 180. Good balance. Over the top delivery. Tight spiral. Good accuracy. Strong arm (easily 60 yards in the air). Escapability. Tremendous poise under pressure.
He will play D1 somewhere, just hope that NIU still has a shot. I know that I will try to get him to NIU games and talk up the opportunities of playing for coach Novak.
