Alright, ladies and men, the "easy" part of our schedule, excepting Ark. St. is behind us. We took huge losses Saturday with Zeigler and Goethe going down, and we saw, once again (1) inconsistent play offensively; (2) a sometimes inept defense; (3) and the real amateur's mistake of going to sleep while we had a big lead and lots of time left.

There isn't a lot you can do about injuries. But I think we are seeing the same -o, same - o when it comes to coaching the team. Why is it that our players act as though they have it made when they are ahead in the game? We still don't have the killer instinct. When you get a comfortable lead, you have to keep focus and intensity.

We had a good first quarter for a change. It remains to be seen whether we have turned the corner there.

Hate to say it, but the ARk St. game could be the last one we are in until we play State College. We've got a lot of lose ends in our game, things we should have gotten under control by now. Tighten up your seatbelts and your chinstraps.
Yea WRY,

assuming we beat Arkansas ST...we'll have 4 wins...We have to win 2 MORE out of AU, UF, BAMA, Arkansas, LSU, MSU, UGA JUST TO FINISH 6-6....EVEN IF WE SNEAK up on ONE TEAM like Au or BAMA, we'll SURLY lose to Arkansas and UGA and the others...I think we might actually end up 5-7, MAN, that SUX!!!!
Don't look now but I don't think anybody in the SEC is playing with any consistency. Folks are up one week and bad off the next. We are all about to get through our "cream puff" games and the wheat will be separated from the chaff - soon.

You are right about the "D". If we don't play better on that side of the ball, we could be in some serious trouble.
