Your paid membership gives you the right to read the premium board it doesn't give you the right to control information or the right to harass people who aren't paid members. He's right. It's only a matter of hours before the competition has it on their website so you gotta throw everything and the kitchen sink into your work to make it stand out.
Also, there's a philosophy in Journalism....your competitors will enivitably read your work, call all of your sources and basically copy what you did. We see it all the time at the newspaper I work at. We do a story and a day or two later, one of the TV news programs is all but reading our story word for word on the air.

Yeah i should have been more clear. If he came by the information in some other form, then yeah that's fine. No one has a corner on the market. But I know for a fact that he has a premium membership. And the timing was really close. In fact, I'm still suspicious that his friend who called him got it off the site.
I was responding to his comments about envisioning guys "like me" snickering at the dinner table and I was trying to point out the flaw in his logic.
