"The Ron Clark Story" will air on TNT Aug. 13 at 8 p.m.

Clark, a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, has been a teacher since 1995. His work in both rural North Carolina and in inner-city Harlem gained worldwide attention. He was named Disney's American Teacher of the Year in 2001. Oprah Winfrey named him her first "Phenomenal Man" in O Magazine. Clark also has two published books.

Former "Friends" actor Matthew Perry will star as Clark.

I'm sure you meant to mention this, but Ron Clark is an alumni of ECU.
