i really do. seems like when the program is making progress, the hammer gets dropped. i want to know when the NCAA is going to pack their **** and move out of the Southeast!
They can make all a big fuss about it, but I'm not.
First off, can't be any LOIC... no one in the atheltic dept. knew. The only time it arose was when it was discovered Randy Garner was overpaid by $85. Garner himself reported it, and paid it back, and UA suspended him for the Cotton Bowl nevertheless for precaution.
Second, Alabama paid $150,000. This was total, $4,000 of overpayments for 20 payers, making it $200 per player, overpaid, for 3 months during the summer. That's 6 paychecks where the players were paid $33.33 avg. more for work. Not many athletes in the country are gonna recognize that big a hike.
If we get hit hard, it'll be with scholarships, but the NCAA has to credit us for 6 we've already self-imposed for the last 2 years. The only way we'll be hit hard is if the NCAA hates the SEC so much, they'll use us as an example.

Whatever they decide, I agree with USMC in that enough is enough. They have picked on the SEC long enough. I guess all the other hundred plus schools are just squeaky clean, right? Get a clue, NCAA yuppies!
