Using the Ignore Poster Feature - Everyone Read
If there is a certain poster (or posters) that rub you the wrong way. Use the Ignore Poster feature or take a deep breath and move on. All posters have just as much right as you to post their thoughts and opinions. And get this, it's not up to you to decide whether or not that opinion is valid or on-topic. If you feel a post is inappropriate, you will use the report feature.

Let us be perfectly frank here. We get many, MANY more complaints about those who attack and belittle other posters over their posts, than we ever do for those posters and their posts. That stops as of now. You are running off other valued posters who have stated they are tired of the inane bickering, of the sense of superiority of some who constantly belittle others over their posts and of those who unyeildingly think their opinion is the only correct opinion. This is a discussion forum, not your personal bully pulpit.

NOTE: Good-natured ribbing of something said within a post is still ok, But the nastiness and mean-spirited attacks will stop.

Posters who continue to refuse to utilize the Ignore feature and/or report post button, yet publicly post admonishments regarding the validity of their opinion and/or the post itself, are now subject for a 2 week 15% warning (1st offense) for attempting to take moderation into their own hands.

Below is the AUP (section 15 - as now stated):

Quote:15) If you cannot get along with a certain poster here, please remember this board does include an ignore feature. We HIGHLY suggest you use it. We are not going to police this site like a straight-line dictatorship. We've never had to in the past and we don't want to do that in the future. Most of us have known each other for quite a while and know how another poster is. If a poster bothers you, put them on your ignore list. If you feel their post is inappropriate or a derail you will use the report post feature to notify the moderation team. There are a lot worse things in life than worrying about every small thing someone posts. Those decisions are solely those of the moderation team. If you choose to forego the ignore and report post features and berate, belittle or otherwise make fun of or insult a poster on the boards over their content and/or opinion, you willl be subject to a miniumum 2 week 15% warning for attempting to publically moderate without authority on the first offense.
amended 5/25/17

Further posts on the message boards at BlazerTalk constitute an understanding of and agreement to comply with the updated AUP. Please see the full AUP pinned to the top of the boards.

Instructions for ignoring a poster:
1. Click on that posters name on the left side of one of his posts. This will take your to that posters profile page.
2. Once on the profile page scroll down to the bottom. On the right side you will see the following:

Add to Ignore List

3. Click.

Once completed you will see where a poster has made a post, but the contents will be hidden. It does include an option to click to view a specific post, but should you do so, any annoyance is self-inflicted!

A word of warning: If you refuse to use the ignore feature for other posters that rub you the wrong way...learn to bite your tounge and let things go. ANY and we do mean any further denegration of posters for stating their thoughts or opinions will be dealt with swiftly and severely.
