Here are some of my awards (good and bad) for the regular season in the SEC.....

Player of the Year - David Pollack, UGA - he's the best DL in the SEC, maybe even the country. Reaked havoc against every team he played, and will continue to do so for the next 2 years, unless the NFL comes calling early.

Coach of the Year - Mark Richt, UGA - no brainer here, he flat out dominated the league.

Idiot(s) of the Year - Kentucky fans for rushing the field before LSU threw the Hail Mary that upset the Wildcats 33-30 in Lexington

Losers of the Year - Guy Morriss, Kentucky and Dennis Franchione, Alabama - Morriss left Kentucky for BAYLOR? Good luck, coach 03-lol 03-lol . As for Franchione, any coach who leaves without telling his team goodbye is chicken and in my book, not a man. Bama fans are right to be livid.

Top 5 SEC Games of the Year
1) Georgia 27, Alabama 24
2) Arkansas 21, LSU 20
3) Georgia 24, Auburn 21
4) LSU 33, Kentucky 30
5) Florida 20, Georgia 13

SEC Game that should've happened - Vandy vs. Miss. State - shouldn't be TWO winless teams in the conference.

SEC Game that shouldn't have happened - anything Vandy played. Even their wins sucked.

SEC Freshman of the Year - De'Arrius Howard, Arkansas - bulldozer of a runner with good breakaway speed. He made his mark best against Miss. State with 126 yards in a Razorback victory. He'll be the next great TB at UA.

Early predictions for next year.

Georgia continues rolling in the East, with a dark horse in Tennessee if their players stay healthy.

The same 3 who've fought for the West the last 2 years: Arkansas, LSU, and Auburn, will repeat it all over again next year. Possible West title game sits in Fayetteville with Auburn traveling to Arkansas.

Whoever Alabama gets as their head coach, the Tide will struggle next year, given that Fran's philosophy is worthless to the team. Kentucky struggles next year as well.

Jackie Sherrill, if having another bad season, will get canned.
Lou Holtz, if having another bad season, will retire.

I agree. Although that Kentucky RB who was voted SEC Freshman of the Year is a helluva good player too.

Otherwise, I agree 100%. I also expect the Gators to have a .500 record in the SEC next year. With losses at LSU, at Arkansas, to Georgia in Jax, and to Tennesee at home.

I'd say Abney from UK was my best player of the year.

The Idiot of the Year ties between the UK students during the LSU game and the Ole Miss students during the Florida game for not being able to read a game clock.

And I'd say Arkansas-UT was one of the best games of the year. 04-cheers

I didn't think the Ole Miss students failed to read the clock in the Florida game. It may not have meant much to anyone but us and (Eventually to Ga.) but the Ole Miss - Florida game was one of the most exciting games in the SEC this year.
