I liked coach Fran but he is disappointing a lot of people, mostly players who didn't want to play in a bowl unless they played for him. I hope he comes to the Senior banquet because it is going to be a whole lot of hell. Torbush should be our next coach.

So, he used the players. Shows how much money means to some people. He got the players to stay during probation so he could have a good season in spite of adversity just to get a higher paying job. I'd be pissed if I was one of the players who decided to stay at Bama with Fran.

Torbush is a good man. I don't think he had a fair shake when he was at NC. I know all the players that he coached at Ole Miss liked him.

What is the deal with Franchione - is he walking?

You should've expected it. He left TCU after saying he wasn't considering the Bama job.

If you are looking for a guy with direct ties, I know one. He has lots of experience as an assistant and as a head coach.

Contact David Cutcliffe @ U.M.A.A.

If you want a perfect record in the SEC, contact Jackie Sherrill. He is a Bama man to boot.

On second thought, leave Jackie alone. If ya'll got Jackie, MS State might actually get a "good" coach to replace him.

Anybody that replaces Jackie Sherrill needs to have a law enforcement background. 03-wink 03-razz

Did'nt The Bear go from A&M to BAMA? Seems odd the shift from Bama to A&M!
I honestly think that a lot of coachs are afraid of Al. If you go, you got to win, and win quickly or else you'll be on the next bus out of Al.
I don't know whether Bama will ever quit worshipping at the altar of Bear or not, but until they do, heaven help coachs that go to Al.
Even Ole Miss that has'nt had any major accomplishments since Vaught retired over 30 years ago can't turn loose of the late 50's - early 60's.

Oh, I think we can turn loose of the 50's and 60's. We get some really good talent on one side of the ball and not the other and vice-versa. We can't seem to get a good effort/execution on both sidea at the same time. Cutcliffe isn't giving me anything to look forward to. I may have to crawl back into my 50's and 60's shell. :crying: :crying: :bang: :frown:
