Quaintance is probably just shopping around to see if he can get Cal to pony up more money. Doubt he is serious about going somewhere else and Cal isn’t going to let us outbid him on someone he already had committed in his first year at ARK. I’d be shocked if he went anywhere else but would be awesome if we could get him. Clear need for a starting quality PF.

I just don't understand it. It's almost like he's signing guys to fill the roster. There is no commitment to his words of getting guys who can get there. Very depressing. These aren't Memphis players other than Haggerty.

What you mean? Tyrese hunter was one of the top pgs in the portal. This guy will just be his back up and a pretty good one at that with the potential to be our starting pg after this season. Dain Danja isn’t some slaw either and fits with what our team needs.

This is what I'm seeing also. Penny is fitting together a "team" rather than collecting as many top names as he can. Looking at skills and how they complement each other. 100% endorsed.

Penny's doing a great job with NIL. In the short term let's hope it can lead to a first Natty in Basketball. The window of opportunity with NIL is short. Glad he's taking advantage of it while he can. But NIL isn't going to last. Something bigger than NIL is going to take it's place within a few years. Don't know what it will be, but it'll be dictated by the big boy football conferences. They're not going to let NIL diminish their power. As soon as they see it as a threat to doing that, NIL will be done away with.

Based on what? He is bringing in guys with specific sets of skills that compliment each other very well. You cannot bring in 10 starters who all expect to start and be ball dominant. We know that does not work from a chemistry perspective. He appears to be brining in players that will actually have a chance to assimilate with one other without expecting to be the star of the team.

Last year we didn't have one defensive dog on the team except for Caleb and we know what happened there. I like the fact that everyone he is recruiting this year is defensive minded, unlike last year.

Just hard to believe a guy would transfer to come off the bench & have limited PT. Hope it works out but I'd also like to see Penny develop this 4* freshman coming in & to do that, he'll need PT too.
