He would need to rehab his career and I would assume he would prefer to try and do it as a HC instead of as an assistant. I agree with Walt that Hallmark would be my first choice but certainly would be OK with Pierce.

However, interesting that you would be happy with someone with highly rated players and who has a tremendous amount of resources including facilities and NIL money, who just lost at home 17-9 to a school with an RPI around 250, and generally not having a good year to date. He is acting as their pitching coach. Search online to see what their facilities (not stadium) are like. Even check out those for softball.

The crew that hired Cruz over Hallmark in the first place needs to be eliminated from whatever decision making process occurs when/if our next coach is hired.

As I said Hallmark would be my first choice but yes I’d be OK with Pierce (if financially it was feasible) over Cruz.

Having said that, the Owls played an Aggie-like game tonight vs South Florida. A glimmer of hope?

Aggies defeated Bama twice today, 10-5 and 18-9. Not a good day for ERAs.

UAB beats #18 Alabama on Tuesday and then beats UTSA in SA tonight.
