This should be pretty close to what we see as a final rendering. Tough to see: the cost of the stadium includes a football (+ W lacrosse) performance facility on the south, or home, stadium side.

Glad it's moving forward. Very exciting. Everyone has their nits... I still don't think it's in the 'perfect' place... but I'll take it. Also think parking will be an absolute nightmare... but you go early, and walk across campus. Can't wait to be at that first game though... LONG time coming!

I assume somebody (maybe even somebody from this board) will post pics or videos of construction progress.

Its interesting as I don't see an obvious path to easily expand... The home side has the suites and media up top. The end zones and the visitor side look pretty high up to be adding a second deck. I expected them to do a horseshoe and leave an end zone open for real easy expansion. I think this is basically 'it' and 35K will suit our needs... which is why it's build this way. Pretty 'complete' rather than with space left open. IMHO.

But what do I know I'm no stadium designer... also, obviously these are just renderings...

I think it’s hard to see in the renderings but I suspect you could add a complete second deck on the North side. I think going to 50k max ifwe move up in conference should be max. The reality is that having huge stadiums isn’t the way to go in future.
I think there is plenty of parking across campus and that’s to me is more attractive than just having everyone park around stadium.

clt says we have a few hundred spots near the Rich, that are also used for baseball parking and normal parking for our research institute. most fans park in other lots or decks and walk thru campus. or they take the light rail.

As for expansion, the away side (north side) can add a second deck, and expansion options have mentioned up to 10-12k more seats (so 45-47k max capacity).

The end zone seating on the west side (diamond-shaped section) is designated student section and will be approximately 8,000 students with their own bars/hangout area under the stadium.
