Oh come now...that was funny. 03-lmfao

What would be even funnier is if we actually do make the Final Four next year! Then, the last laugh will be on me and that's something we ALL will enjoy! 04-cheers

Seen your other posts recently and I do see you take a sarcastic approach ... I'm good with that, it just doesn't come off well when reading a specific message unless you know the history/tendencies of the poster.

But yes, I do share some of your sentiments. Here's hoping Penny knows what type of seasoned player he wants now and also doesn't overload the roster with guys expecting big time minutes.

+3 on us having different styles/opinions and being cool about it! 04-cheers

Bottom line...We both want Memphis to take home the Golden Ring!

Most of us had at least one family member who couldn't help pissing on the joyful times. Nobody payed much attention to that one.

I once mayed a wager where I layed a nice sum of money and it payed a nice rayed of cash. 03-lmfao

Quote:llinois junior center Dain Dainja has entered the transfer portal, 247Sports has learned. As a redshirt junior, Dainja averaged 6.1 points on 66.9% shooting and 3.6 rebounds.
  • Dainja is a former top-100 prospect who transferred to Illinois after 1.5 years at Baylor, where he redshirted during the Bears' 2021 championship season.
  • In his first year at Illinois, Dainja averaged 9.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 33 games.
  • Dainja's role lessened as a junior as Illinois played more 5-out with Coleman Hawkins at center to allow Marcus Domask more room to operate in the Illini's "booty ball" offense.

But Dainja made a big impact during the Illini's postseason run, scoring 18 points in the Illini's Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal win over Ohio State and 21 points in the Illini's first-round NCAA Tournament win over Morehead State.

Had to do a double take when I first started reading. Was thinking why is dude so mad!? 04-cheers

Awesome! Penny's putting in work!

It is Penny's true nature to succeed. 04-cheers And I liked that Dainja said he was impressed with how much Penny and Stansbury knew about his game.

Well, this guys a load. Looks bigger than Malcolm with better footwork.

Yeah he is. Guys like this are fascinating to watch.
This is what an Illinois fan told me...
He's very athletic, can run the floor, score around the basket, and protect the rim. The reason he didn't get much playing time this year is that he didn't fit into Illinois ' 5 out system. He's not an offensive threat away from the basket so he can clog the lane which doesn't open up space for slashing to the basket.

Closer to 4 than 3 but he only played under 11 mins a game. Put him at 20 mins and he would be getting 7-8 rebounds which wouldn’t be bad at all.

Good news is he’s a player from an elite 8 team. The better news is Penny wont have the crutch of Malcolm to fall back on when he misses an assignment. He may actually get to play through his mistakes
