Richardson is a puss.

This all makes sense, and could have happened, but I still dont see any indication that it was racially motivated. Especially since Stith was the guy promoted.

His suit claims all of those statements came after Stith left for UNCG and he has a witness for the associate HC claim. This appears to be his strongest claim as Stith leaves, Jones is nervous he might (according to the suit) so he promises him a promotion but after the roster is final, Richardson brings on the two JUCOs (not hard to see who they are), Jones doesn’t promote him after promising too and then fires him right before the year, leaving him jobless with no suitors after promising him a promotion.

He also claims in the suit he wasn’t fired for performance, didn’t have an annual review for 7 years and didn’t do anything to get fired. That runs counter to the unknown whispers on this board but it seems like that should be easy to prove/disprove.

After fruitless years of recruiting, JJ woke up and let both Richardson & Stith, both go. Since coming back from Va. tech, Richardson never was able to get the players. When you talk with him, at breakfast it was mostly BS, to make us positive. Anyone, he now has his dream, he is a head coach.

My guess is he's banking (pun intended) on ODU not wanting to go to court and will likely settle this out of court.

Sorry but his performance and off court issues prevented him from reaching the performance standards necessary to progress professionally. That is all that needs to stated. It is an attempt to get money from ODU. Nothing racial about it.

Is there any local/regional reporting on this? I see a Bloomberg article on the case, but it's behind a paywall.

So who would hire Richardson going forward?
