Because of "REVENUE SCARCITY" I just don't see any G5 going above 14---for a long time--if ever. There is also the lack of "A+" type candidates among fcs that really "move the needle".

IMO--CUSA will stick at TWELVE.

In fact--IMO you might even see contraction back to 12 being a possibility in the AAC or SBC's case. Depends on what espn is willing to pay--or not pay.

Future revenue scarcity is already becoming evident:

---the latest CFP money negotiation numbers DO NOT look good for ALL of G5. Many in G5 had counted on their share doubling or more--NOT SO according to the latest reports--it will increase but only by a few hundred thousand.

-- NCAA tourney credits are going to be more difficult as the P4/5 continue to limit most conferences to being ONE BID Leagues. The "Net" system is RIGGED to favor the "big boys".
