BYU has had a reversal in fortunes lately with their coaching hire--which seems to have settled things down a bit.

Dallin Hall (Sophomore PG) - Withdrawn from the portal, will return
Aly Khalifa (Junior C, great passer) - Committed to Louisville, will redshirt to rehab injury in 2024-25 season
Richie Saunders (Sophomore SG) - Withdrawn from the portal, will return
Atiki Ally Atiki (C with a year of eligibility left)
Jaxson Robinson (Could play one more year, best player) - Committed to the NBA draft

BYU also lost a big commit for 2024 in 4-star Collin Chandler who is following Mark Pope to Kentucky, but then landed a 4-star commit (decommit from USC) in SF Brody Kozlowski.

our new coach has been busy putting in a coaching staff, but we're just now starting to get some portal activity.

We only have 3 scholarship players left from last year (everybody else either eligibility or portal), plus one HS commit.

This week we picked up a Forward from Tech, and a PG from FIU, plus we have our former Center who spent last season at Ole Miss on campus right now, that would be huge.

A PG, PF with B12 experience and our prior Center added from the portal this week would make me feel a whole lot better about next season, but Coach had/has 9 open scholarships to fill.

I reviewed UC's departures using ON and 247 and found:

Total departures - 30
No landing -11
Lateral landing - 7 - 3 UCF, CAL, GT, CO, ASU
Down landing - 11
Upgrade landing - 1 (WI)

Popular landing site UCF - Threats and Pace are good players but trouble. Threats expelled from 2 games, with one for putting hands on Ref. Pace sucker punched our QB. Would have liked to have kept Montgomery.

TX State and Youngstown State got 2 each.
