Embarrassing Trojans.

Luckily one game in baseball means absolutely nothing. We beat hogs 17-7, a few years ago, and they went on to the college world series. This may be Curry's best team since he took over the LR program. But I have no illusions that we are anywhere close to competing with the number one team in the country which the hogs are at the moment. Still we have proven that on a given day we can beat them (we were 2-4 against them going into yesterday's game). That given day could happen in the NCAA tournament if we get in this season.

Was yesterday embarrassing? Sure it was. But no more embarrassing than us beating them by 10 runs a few years ago.

I guess we are still a "tad" better than ASU. They got "run-ruled" 13-0. I think our game was only 11-0. Just means their mid-week pitchers are a lot better than ours. No surprise there. I've wondered if we should "hold" our best pitcher and use them against UAF (or any other high major) since a win would get us some national attention. Coach Curry said the conference games are more important. Of course, using a stud pitcher doesn't matter if you can't score any runs yourself.
