Well who wouldn't want the young one... but I can work with present day as well.

If you're old enough to remember the young one, you probably shouldn't be considering girls that age anymore.

A couple of solid matchups so far. I imagine there's at least one or two other good opponents to come aside from X, so this should be a much better non-conference schedule than last year.

I've said it for years and years... the Dayton game should be an annual event even if it is a home and home. That type of away game is great prep for the Big XII and UD is normally a solid school. Also is a great way to expand the visibility of UC and throw a bone to us alum from the Dayton area

I kinda miss the days when UC, Dayton, X and Richdaddy U all played each other every season.

Agreed. Why not a mini-tourney every hear at the Colise....er HBC where you'd play 2 of the 3? You could alternate R1 opponents every year or even set up permanent R1 matchups e.g. UC/XU and UD/MU.

i'd be fine with just playing dayton every year. just dayton

They should make it a four team round robin held over 10 days and you make all four schools season-ticket bases buy all event passes. After expenses split the money prorata by the number of season-ticket holders. Get four good games locally for free and make piles of cash.

The combination of playing Georgia Tech on the road instead of at home, adding Villanova, and playing 20 conference games basically flips three games on the non-conference schedule. UC likely gets at worst quad 2 games from their high profile non-conference opponents and two more quad 1 or quad 2 games from the conference schedule.

I would like to see some solid quad 3 level games in an MTE and a few other decent buy games but the schedule looks to be in good place.

Love it...and there are no issues with conference overlap requiring NCAA clearance. I don't see an issue with this at all, other than UC/XU being very slightly devalued as no longer being a standalone game.

Bolded, I see that as an advantage, but I'm sure mine is a minority opinion. There is just way too much emphasis on that game and if we view it as our "major" rival it diminishes the perception of where UC is in the hierarchy of major college sports in 2024. I'd much rather our "major" rival be major and played in football and basketball--Kansas, Houston, or West Virginia, and represent an opportunity to win conference games that matter.

Arrinten Page is more of a center first, Sean Stewart is more of a forward-first, but they can cover both positions depending on the overall 5 on the court. He is more of a direct cover for a guy like Tyler McKinley...I'm thinking he'll be a one-year rental though, not a 3 year guy. He was stuck behind Filipowski this season, so he didn't get many minutes.

Not an exact science with a smaller sample, but his per 40 minute numbers are good:

He also had promising advanced metrics with a combined rebound rate of 22.8% and an offensive rating of 121.4 and a defensive rating of 89.3 (though those last two definitely have something to do with the other 4 on the court as well).
