We just need to move the ball quickly around the perimeter and hope we can hit from three. Trying to pound the ball inside has been a disaster.

Yes, that last turnover was killer.

How was that not a foul on Adams’ put back

Incredible effort. We outscored them in two quarters despite having a 31-8 FT discrepancy. We forced 24 turnovers.

I’m telling you, we are a top 25 team next year.

Great, great job against the defending champs. To quote Edmonds, I’m really proud of them.

You mean slamming her to the ground isn’t a foul?

I loved our effort throughout this run. Tough draw but they kept it interesting

Edmonds had a great plan today, kept it close. Let’s build onto next year, top 25 would be great.

Mulkey was rudely dismissive in the post game. “I’m sure Rice was excited to be here…. We were selfish and rusty. This wasn’t last years team.”

She did say to give Rice credit on the turnovers, but, hey, more motivation for next year!

RE: Rice WBB vs LSU - NCAA Tournament - 1st Round
Awesome effort aided by LSU sleepwalking. Think LSU will probably be better next round but I don't see a team that can go back-to-back. Some ridiculously talented players but the bench doesn't seem deep enough. The Reese love from is a bit excessive, considering there were 2-3 players who more deserved the plaudits today. Love that Jackson gets to go out with a good performance - she deserves that. Thought this was probably our best defensive performance of the season.

Looking to next year, really wish we had a scholarship spot open. Definitely some positions that could use improvement.

Also, to anybody questioning why Mulkey would be dismissive...where have you been for the last 20 years? Probably one of the top 5 most universally disliked personalities in college basketball. Has always been like that, will always be like that. A shame she's also one of the best college basketball coaches in the country.

What do you expect from the most classless coach in the country? LSU was lucky they weren’t given any suspensions at the end of the South Carolina game (Johnson in particular should have also been ejected for fighting).

BTW we tied South Carolina for holding LSU to their second lowest point total of the season (only Auburn at home was better, beating LSU 67-62).

Yes, I would like to get another point guard in the program. Through the transfer portal. Let’s see what happens in the off-season. There are some scholarship players who know they will only get PT next year in blowout games.

Can we please get away from top seeds getting to play at home? While I think we handled it well the FT situation was probably influenced to some degree. Until this is corrected the tourney will still be less than the men’s in terms of fairness.

I am so very proud of this team! And I wonder if we might've pulled it out with Ennis in the mix and Fisher in the game at the end (her last foul call was ridiculous).
Who are we losing to graduation?

For now, only Destiny.

Everyone is back but DJ.

The key is we need to get some NC wins and improve our RPI. We play BYU in Mexico and one other TBA. We play at Gonzaga and Georgia Tech. Get some wins there and our RPI can be decent.

Hayes and Sussy will be a formidable force in the post for us next year. Don’t we also lose Maya?
