What a comeback by the Lady Raiders. Thought it was over when they went down by nearly 20 in the 2Q. Turned it back on in the fourth to see the game tied.

Glad I went and watched MT when they played in Huntsville this year. Fun team to watch. Congrats on the win, now go beat the champs.

Rick Insell was incredibly complimentary of CUSA postgame, discussing the numerous tough teams MTSU played this year (calling out UTEP, Liberty and LaTech by name), the illustrious WBB history that exists here and the positive direction we’re heading in… even talks up Delaware’s programs. Great representation for CUSA. Insell is as good a promoter as he is a recruiter.

The parity in women's college basketball is just not there like other collegiate sports. The top teams are just so much better than the rest. One of the big reasons it's been 17 years since MT's last first round win.

Hoping for the W against LSU but not expecting too much. I doubt they play as disjointed as they did in the 1st round, but we will beat them if they do.

You can probably count on one hand the number of first round sessions in NCAA history like Friday that have featured two competitive games. Glad at least one of the underdogs got it done. Wish we could be joining you today instead of the Tigers.

It’s hard to know what to expect from LSU today. Their high end is so high, and I know we did not get their best effort. But Rice had developed a bit of a shutdown defense in March (just in time for the conference tourney) and the Owls deserve some credit for holding them to 30 in the 1H and staying within reach the entire game.

I think LSU is too flawed to repeat, but that Friday is a wake up call and they come out on fire.

Middle has already proved they can survive the early onslaught. Just don’t get down 18 again, that trick only works once
