Through an inning and a half, five of the six Owl outs have been Ks. Owls did have 2 on with no outs in the T2 (Becker single and Garza on an error on a sac bunt attempt), but followed that with a long F7 and 2 Ks. No score going to B2.

Coogs start B2 in similar fashion with single up the middle and infield hit.

Fernandez yields a walk, infield single and triple. Runner thrown out at home for 2nd out, but Coogs up 0-3. Not sure how they rule that a triple with the runner thrown out at home, but whatever. Delayed K ends the inning.

2 pitches, 2 pop-ups in the T3. Amazingly Riedel takes the first pitch he sees. Ball 4 is called a strike, but he walks on 5 pitches.

Home plate ump has made some “interesting” calls already.

Rank completes the popup trifecta to end the T3.

Well, I stepped away for dinner only to come back and find things pretty much where they were after 3. Owls with only 1 hit back in the T2. 0-3 in the B7. A couple of walks for rhe Coogs and only 1 out. Vincent gives up an rbi double. 0-4.

11 Ks in 7 innings against a mid-week starter. Our inability to put the ball in play in beyond frustrating. And there's no improvement whatsoever. I again ask the question-- where is the hitting coach?

After a K for the 2nd out, the Coogs French is given the Int BB to load them up. Hamilton replaces Vincent on the mound and gets a popup to end the threat.

Owls have 6 outs left to find an offense. 0-4 going to T8. Vegas called and said they won’t take that bet.

Pretty solid pitching effort after that 1st inning. All for naught due to our hapless offense. Glad we can hit against Prairie View and HCU, but that's not exactly competition.

Owls lose 4-1, with 2 hits and…..14 Ks….amazing….
