JT missed 4 1/2 games (2nd half of SMU game, UTSA, Charlotte, FAU and the bowl game). The only difference in the regular season I see is we might have won the SMU game (we led 24-21 at the half). And perhaps the bowl game would have gone differently. AJ just has played poorly in bowl games. He really did okay against Charlotte and FAU.

Also missed a chunk of the USF game. AJ went three and out twice before leading a touchdown drive. TJ might have kept us in it with some longer drives so our defense could rest.

Padgett is solid against bad teams, which I don't take for granted because of how many QBs we've had that were bad against everybody. Just need him to break through and play consistently well against decent/good teams.

I can't remember how many interceptions he threw in last year's bowl game (some sure interceptions were dropped by the defense)... but I've watched A LOT of bad football over the years and he threw about 5 of the worst passes that I've ever seen in that game. I am therefore not wanting to count on him when it comes to us having a successful 2024...

I don't mean this to be an anti AJ thread. Just curious as to what the ceiling could have been if TJ elected to stay. When he left, I was disappointed because given our history of QB injuries, I was certain that he would see the field in 2023. TJ threw a lot of interceptions in 2022, but his legs and aggressiveness would have been beneficial.

Lol, someone must really not want to get a job and join the real world. 2018 walk on at Mississppi State, 2019 Cali JUCO, 2020-2022 Rice, 2023 Marshall and 2024 TBD? Like, dude, you're gonna be 25 this summer and aren't going to play pro football in any country, just let it go.

Yeah I'm praying that Warner stays healthy.

Men doing a good job of rebuilding our roster. There is a chance we are better next year than this year (depending on the coaching and final roster additions).

Man, I wish the women had one scholarship to give out. There are some really good players we’d have a chance at. Like Gisella Maul of Texas, who just went into the portal. She was a year behind Hayes but they won a state title together at Cedar Park.

Yep, in today's day and age, you basically need to have a scholarship open. It'll be especially frustrating if Conley and Rickard aren't significant contributors this year.

Wow. Good move for him, but I’d be shocked if gets any playing time there. Even though I realized they lost pretty much all their scoring.
