Good to see Wiard finally get the recognition she deserves. A little surprised to see Sammi make it, but she definitely deserved it last year and did not get chosen. Goss did not make the all-defensive team this year. No Rockets on all-defense, even though UT led the MAC in points allowed.

Now they have to add a new Jersey to the wall of honor, that they just created. A good problem to have I guess.

My only real objection to the whole list is that I believe Hampton should have gotten 1st team over Becki. Yes, Becki scored more points, but Hampton's stats were better in essentially every other stat, and she ran the offense and was the key disruptor on D. IMO, BSU doesn't have as great a season this year if Hampton doesn't join them. But, that's just my opinion.

Oh, also Cullop Coach of the Year - Again. That's number 6 for her!

A little surprised that maybe they would not make Cullop and Sallee co-CoY, but they did not.

Goss not on All defensive team after being on it 2 times before (I believe) in exchange for Becki is odd. Did she guard Q or Sammi in our blowout win? Nyla Ds up Sophia fine but we take that in exchange for running the 4 on 4 offense with authority.

Only coaches vote now. Not surprised the other coaches appreciate TC more.

I agree with you. Hampton does a lot more for that team than Becki does.

Yes, that's a joke. There's no way that Becki is a better defensive player than Goss.

I am really pleased that Sophia has been recognized this year as POY. IMO she raised her game in every way possible this year. I thought she began to become a POY candidate when she raised her scoring level to 20+ points in four of the five games that Q was out of the lineup. She has improved her 3 point percentage and been a major factor in all of the big games the rockets have played. Its a great way for her to finish her career at Toledo.

I think Sammi is a "bubble" 3rd team player. There was certainly more talent in the league last year and that might have bumped her out. This year would be easier for any player to make the list.
