NIT bracket projections

Who knows what any of these are worth, but this one has UC as an NIT #2 seed. Yesterday, they had both UC and Ohio State as 2 seeds and have now moved OSU up to a 1.

It's hard to get excited about the NIT, but a late round win for the Bearcats over the boys from Columbus would probably please me more than any single win has throughout this season. And it would be a positive step statewide in Ohio that the Big 12 Bearcats are progressing nicely toward returning to the rankings and the NCAA next year as OSU starts over with a new coach.

Ohio State has been really good down the stretch and has wins over Purdue and Alabama. Like UC they need a deep conference tournament to get into NCAA consideration but they are not that far away. 14-12 quad 1-3 is actually really strong but the details show its built on 9 quad 3 wins.

I really pay no attention to OSU. Is the coach they fired finishing out the season? If not, have they named a successor?

Again, I took a look this morning to see if UC had moved up to a #1 seed in this NIT forecast. Instead, this bracket has moved UC into "last four in" for the NCAA with an 11 seed after the KS game.

It's not Lunardi or the known "experts" and I can't speak to the quality of this projection. In fact I really question this prediction. But at least it might suggest UC will now earn a #1 seed in the NIT.

Bartovik has UC as an 11 seed with a 61% chance of getting into the Big Dance.

On a positive note... IF and it's still a HUGGGEEEEEEE IF, we were to get in as an 11 seed in that scenario, I think UC would match up very well with the 6 seeds in that bracket and even beyond that none of the 3 seeds scare me but would obviously be challenges
