Has never removed his pinned commitment announcement.
In prep school in CA, but home is MD. Imagine he is waiting to sign when back home among family and friends.
A couple of other hopefully encouraging signs regarding Mbeng. First, I found an entry dated April 24 in what appears to be the school newspaper for the high school that Mbeng graduated from. The paragraph refers to Mbeng as a post graduate and congratulates him on his commitment to William & Mary. Secondly, I have a digital subscription to The Virginian Pilot that I forget to read on a daily basis. Marty O'Brian had an article several days ago where he gave an update on all that Coach Earl has accomplished in such a short amount of time. His article addressed the completion of the coaching staff, and specifically named and talked about all 5 of the new players that will be joining our program. He also noted that we still have 3 open scholarships.

Jamarii Thomas — the MEAC Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year - who also earned All-MEAC first-team and defensive-team honors is transferring from NSU to VCU. The former UNCW performer averaged 16.9 ppg for the Spartans last season.

That’s a nice pick up for the Rams.

Good for him, but looking up his stats (10 ppg) I'm sorta surprised he's getting that type of interest. I guess he'd be a senior, so teams may be looking at him as a low risk, low reward one year type of player.

They're looking for a big body to practice against. He could see some playing time on Louisville since they just jumped from division 2 to high level CAA and are not actually an ACC team.
None of those programs have had much relevance in their leagues *recently* so it doesn't shock me. He's a large frame and has played some solid d1 minutes, albeit on a program in recent decline after a hot entry into d1. All the best to him, but I think he, and many who make multiple jumps and try to move "up", will only find pine ready to ride and a nice looking practice jersey.
